Helpful Hints:
- Dress in layers
- Wool and Polartec are best
- Glove & sock liners are a plus
- Use the same size battery for everything, if possible
- Six Ziplock bags can be handy
- Full face mask and/or ear muffs are nice when it's cold & windy
- Neck strap works better for binoculars than harness system
- Pack clothes/equipment in medium to large Duffle Bags, (preferably weather resistant)
- Small, cheap tarp, 8'x10' or similar can be handy
- Vitamins, Emergen-C, flavored powder for water works well
